Calendar of Events
Mark your calendars - the San Francisco Historical Bourse (SFHB) is scheduled for May 17-18, 2013!
This year's winter incarnation of the SFHB took place Friday-Saturday, December 14-15, 2012 , at the usual Golden Gateway Holiday Inn, San Francisco, California. The fourteenth of its kind in a row, in regular succesion - it lived up to its traditional expectation, with an excellent turnout, lively action and illuminating presentations. Many thanks to all that took the time to stop by the Rudnik table! Otherwise, as general information - this biannual bourse (not to be confused with those infrequent biennial events) had started strong back in early 2006 and maintained the momentum ever since, thundering twice every year. During that time it has expanded from a single- to a two-day format and broadened its cirle of attending quality dealers. Complementing their diverse offering are the pleasant setting, focused ancient & related atmosphere, timely complimentary refreshments and accompanying scholarly lectures/content that have all enabled this to continue being a very important numismatic venue for collectors and dealers alike.
Rudnik Numismatics has been present at the SFHB since its inception, and is proud to continue its participation in 2013 again. The next instance of the SFHB is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, May 17-18, 2013, at the same location. We plan on being there with our full and diverse inventory of interesting and affordable Greek and Roman, a premier selection of Byzantine bronzes, as well as a strong offering from our focus Medieval and World areas. Also featured are the usual select group lots, our popular budget boxes, occasional artifacts and some relevant more modern material. While the Internet era has changed many aspects of coin collecting and retailing (among the rest) - and our own business, admittedly, is primarily Internet-based - there is no real subsitute for seeing these ancient treasures live, holding and examining them in person, and engaging in the sometimes intangible benefits that bourse fellowship invariably brings. We look forward to seeing you there!
For more information on all aspects of the bourse, including discount coupons, please see the official SFHB bourse site.
In the meantime, we continue our regular postings of new fixed-price inventory across a broad spectrum of categories, along with occasional offerings through Rudnik Online Auctions. Also - for those in and around the San Francisco Bay Area, please continue to watch for us at the monthly meetings of the San Francisco Ancient Numismatic Society (SFANS; and if you're not a member - it's fun and please consider becoming one!).
