Better than average example of this interesting early imperial type - mainly full flan and not countermarked. Notable for the fact that this is the unique type the references Dusan, in Latin, as the "King of Rascia [Serbia], emperor of the Romaion [Byzantines - Romans]". Accomplished rendition of Christ, in the best "Ragusan style" characteristic of certain Rudnik mint issues, and superior to all other styles of Serbian mints of the time.
