The earliest type of regular Serbian coinage. Though rather likely, the conjecture that Dragutin's father (Uros I) minted money has not been conclusively proven. After his 1282 abdication in favor of brother Milutin (Uros II), Dragutin continued to legally strike coins, so some issues might date all the way up to his death in 1316.
