The shrine of Venus Cloacina appears to this day as a semicircular platform in front of the Basilica Aemilia in the Roman Forum - depicted here in one of the last strictly Roman Republican denarii. Separately, the same moneyer struck the famous posthumous portrait denarii of Julius Caesar (see our lot R2933).
