The practice of honoring family members, in particular wives, was rather common on Roman coinage. Sometimes this was a tribute to predeceased and consecrated ("divi") persons, and other times these were lifetime issues. Faustina died early in her husband's reign and was honored extensively. Attractive piece, with pleasing style and surfaces and essentially problem-free on both sides.
