Nice specimen issued in the name of Caracalla's short-lived spouse. In the long gallery of victims of the belligerent Caracalla, Plautilla - married to him in 202 - was not to last long either, and upon the framing and execution of her once powerful father at the hands of her husband she was first downgraded to "estranged wife" and exiled, only to be executed once he was to assume supreme power in 212 AD.
