A nice example for this relatively scarce ruler. The reverse, while thematically not original, is in an incarnation specific to this Western usurper. Meaning "Victory to our lords Augustus and Caesar", it followed Magnentius' brother Decentius' elevation to Caesar (351), and was apparently meant to bode well in the onging struggle with Constantius. But events proved otherwise, and Magnentius was soon forced to abandon Italy, only to be finally crushed the following year.
