Obv: Radiate bust to right, legend: IMP C VIB TREB GALLVS AVG Rev: Temple of Roma Aeterna with six columns, small figure (Roma?) inside, VII in ex., legend: SAECVLVM NOVVM around REFERENCE: RSC 110f, RIC 90 GRADING: VF, dark patina w/ earthen highlights, elongated flan, scarce ORDER INFO: R2404, $58 A somewhat puzzling antoninianus with no appreciable silver content - issued during a reign that predates by several years the wholosale debasement of the unit, while it was still normally at a relatively decent silver level. Still, nicely highlighted patinated specimen of this scarcer reverse type, and particularly attractive reverse, with good detail of the temple, its column ornaments and the inside cultus figure.
