Miniature, but rare and attractive representation of a facing Apollo, from one of the few claimed birthplaces of the famous Homer. Remarkable as a rare series with denominations marked explicitly - here TE for tetartemorion (quarter obol), along with other types (of the same obverse design) with EM for hemiobol (half obol; see our lots G1929 and G3115) and TR for tritemorion (third obol).
