Artistic head of older, bearded Pan. Along with the reverse design - featuring another mythological favorite - this mimics the type and style (if not quite execution detail) of the celebrated and pricey gold staters of this city. (Accordingly, two recent auction sales of EF specimens of the present bronze type have reached the formidable $750-850 range.)
