The quintessential Apollo/lyre coin design of Lesbos, of high artistic style. While present in many other locales, it is particularly appropriate here, given the island's lyrical history and tradition. The Historical Museum of Mytilene displays a hoard of some 150 such pieces, but they are seldom to be found offered to collectors.
