Rev: Naked Hercules standing to left, wrestling the Nemean lion that clings on to him, with club on the ground and bow case to the left; inscription C.POBLICIUS on the right, and control-letter N on the upper left.

A Roman Republican issue, with the scarce representation of Herakles' (Roman Hercules) first labor. The style is not as fine as in some of the earlier Greek types, and the lion seems more like a teenager sizewise - but still a dynamic rendition of this scene and an interesting coin.
