Rev: Armed figure facing, head left, holding parazonium and spear, Greek inscription KOINON MAKE[DONON] NEO

GRADING: F+ / AVF, mixed green patina, slight encrustation and verdigris

A scarce and attractive large bronze from the later Roman period, with a finely styled portrait of the great conqueror, who's appearance here is probably as much a nominal homage paid to the celebrated king's birthplace province as it is a suggestive device of wishful 3rd century Roman emperors.
