Though some design is (typically) off the flan, a decent example of this bronze issue which is among the first ones to use entirely Greek inscriptions, as well as to refer to the Emperor as "Despot" (Lord) - a title that will be used occasionally through the end of the Empire, even after it was later broadened to denote the second in rank imperial office |
