Another rare issue with a mysterious reverse design, typically described simply as "circles bisected by lines". However, the left part of the flan here shows other design elements - even slightly reminiscent of the city towers featured on Andronikos' hyperpyra - but it is hard to properly discern them, or even confirm that this comes from the same die (though the two D. Oaks specimens show even less detail). |
