Scarce type - from the series of full-sized bronze folles and fractions revival attempted by Constantine IV - and rare countermark (Constantine monogram #35 per Sear, c/m I per D. Oaks; only a single specimen cited by the D. Oaks catalog), characteristic for the fact that it is a Constantine monogram placed on what is clearly an earlier issue of the same ruler, for unknown purpose. See DO II(1), p.57, for a discussion of this topic, and the possible Cypriote origin of the monogram.
